ABOUT KAUSANI :Kausani is a destination for Himalayan tourists. It is located 53 km North of Almora. The altitude of this place is about 1890 Mts. This place offers a 350 km view of the Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Panchchuli. There are very few places in the Himalayas that can compare with the beauty of Kau



sani – a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendor and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic views of the Himalayas. Kausani lies atop the ridge amidst dense Pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other on Almora-Bageshwar-Didihat Highway. This place is ‘Switzerland of India’, due to similarity in landscape.


BEST TIME TO VISIT:March – June, and September – December.


How to Reach:RAILWAYS:- Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Kausani situated at a distance of 132kms. Kathgodam is well connected by Railway networks with major destinations of India like Lucknow, Delhi, and Kolkata. Trains are frequent to Kathgodam as it is the gateway of the Kumaon region. Buses and Taxi es are easily available to Kausani from Kathgodam.ROAD:- Charted bus and Car.Air Link:- Pantnagar is the nearest airport.Camping in Bhimtal Riverside
